University of Scranton students inducted into Eta Kappa Nu, the student honor society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). Student members are selected for induction on the basis of scholastic standing, character, and leadership. The University's chapter of the international honor society was established in 2012.

Kutztown University has conferred degrees on more than 475 students during the summer, fall and winter semesters. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish the requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The following students have been awarded degrees since the spring 2017 announcement. The cumulative grade point average necessary for honors distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.40; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.60 and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.80. Students listed multiple times have been awarded more than one degree. Students who have requested privacy (FERPA) are not listed publicly.

A total of 1,555 students have been named to the Dean's List at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) for the Fall 2017 semester of the 2017-2018 academic year, according to Joanne Bruno, J.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs. Students eligible for the Dean's List are those who have attained a 3.50 quality point average or better and are enrolled full-time. The letter grade "B" earns 3 quality points per credit, and the grade "A" earns 4 quality points per credit.

More than 1,725 students have been named to the Fall 2017 Dean's List at Kutztown University. To be eligible for the Dean's List, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60.

A total of 419 students will receive degrees from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania at the Winter Commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 16 at 9:45 a.m. in Koehler Fieldhouse. There will be 325 bachelor's degrees, 66 master's degrees and one doctoral degree awarded.

Thirty-five members of The University of Scranton's class of 2017 graduated from its Honors Program, which is one of the Jesuit university's programs of excellence. Students in the Honors Program pursue a rigorous education that stresses independent work through close engagement with professors and other honors students, including the preparation, presentation and defense of a research or creative project during their senior year.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.
